On Wednesdays after school in Mr. Howard's room, some Laurelhurst students meet for a little knitting. The Knitting Club is for beginners and those who already know how to knit. The program includes needle knitting, loom knitting, arm knitting, finger knitting, and occasionally some crochet.

Every month we set a goal for our "sell offs" - hats, scarves, mittens, and other creations. Right now we're making a quilt of granny squares made by each students. When the quilt and all of our knitting goal objects are completed we will sell them. The proceed will go to supplies for knitting club and Seattle Children's Hospital.

The Knitting Club is open to all Laurelhurst students. A sign up sheet can be found in the office.
